The business of bathrooms requires particular attention given that they get quite heavy traffic and use. If you are designing bathrooms for a school or gym you may want to consider using wet rooms instead as these are far easier to clean and maintain. Wet rooms can be designed to have as many showers as you require and it is possible to separate the showers using shower enclosures on each shower. If privacy is not an issue it is still of benefit to have shower doors which allow for entering and exiting the shower.

When it comes to domestic bathrooms most home owners will install bathroom suites these consist of a bath, toilet and wash basin. It is possible to get bathroom suites which also include fitted bathroom furniture as part of the fittings these are useful if you are looking for some storage space. Another important aspect to your bathroom design whether domestic or business (contract) is heating. There are a number of options for heating bathrooms the most common form of heating bathrooms in the UK is central heating. Central heating uses boilers which boil water and send it to various radiators via a water pump. Bathrooms can also be heated using electricity this is of benefit if you do not have a gas supply. Towel rails can be fitted into bathrooms which are able to be heated using either electric or central heating there are even a number of combination towel rails which can be heated by both.

It is important to keep your bathrooms and wet rooms water tight a good way to do this is to install a drain in the floor which allows for any spilled water to escape through the drain. You will need to fit a step at the bathroom door so if the drain does not drain quickly enough water won’t start to seep out of the bathroom and damage other areas of the property.
